Ocean v River Cruising

Cruising on a majestic river through ancient imperial European cities, through the rainforest of the Amazon or past wonders of the ancient world is a complete different experience to ocean cruising and the ships are different too. River cruise ships are elegant and innovative ships and are long low vessels designed for inland waterways, they give a more intimate experience and carry, typically between 50 - 200 guests, quite different from the 5000+ on an ocean cruise ship !!!
